For each subject, students need to write assignments, and other learning activities such as book reading reports and research papers. Students are required to follow the guidelines set forth by the college for academic writing. Students should submit their written assignments and other learning activities on or before the date given.
Students need to develop their skills in writing, reading, listening, speaking. Critical evaluation and reflective thinking are necessary to do best in academic writing. MIBC encourages students to follow the footnote referencing style while writing their assignments and research papers. Special classes are given to students as per the need.
Every student must attend the course on Guidelines to write Assignments and Research papers at the beginning of every academic year. An introduction to Research methods special class is arranged as per the need for those who like to do thesis work as a part of their study.
Plagiarism is not allowed in Writing Assignments/Research Papers and Thesis. It is considered a punishable offense. Proper acknowledgment and citation should be done according to guidelines and a specific style of referencing.
Copying from other student's work is not encouraged at all. In such cases of copying, their assignments works will be rejected and will not be graded.
Semester wise Examinations are conducted twice in a year. Examinations are conducted on the last week of each semester and the final grade is calculated based on both internal (40%) and external (60%) assessments. Internal assessment includes students' work on Assignments, Paper presentations, Reading reports, attendance, class participation, weekly tests/mid-term exam, and other learning activities. To be eligible to appear for the final examination, students are required to get at least 40% for each learning activity in the Internal Assessment (out of 40). The external assessment includes the final examination. To pass in the examinations, students need to score at least 40% of total marks.
If a student fails in three or more subjects in a semester, then they need to clear their failed subjects before the end of the next semester. The students can't be admitted in the next academic year without clearing up all the failed subjects and in such cases, students should continue in the same class again.
MIBC provides the opportunity for the students to improve in their failed subjects. The retake exam date will be scheduled in the upcoming semester. To retake the exam, students need to pay INR 250.00 per subject.
Students are considered as failed until he/she clears up all the failed subjects by retake exam. Through this provision, failed students can score only 75% of marks maximum.

Practical ministry is an integral part of our programs. Students are required to complete the practical ministry under a ministry supervisor in a selected place in any part of India by the direction of practical ministry department.
Usually, during the summer vacation, one month is allocated for practical ministry. A ministry Supervisor can be a minister or a leader of any recognized ministry organisation.
Upon the completion of each practical ministry, students are required to submit the ministry reports which is signed and recommended by the recognized ministry supervisor.
College outreach programs, conventions, local ministry partnerships are also encouraged and considered as a part of practical ministry.
Students who satisfactorily complete the practical ministries will be given two credits in each year by the practical ministry strand.
More information will be given to the registered students after the admission.
